Sitting still has never been so much fun

The new Desktop Toys

The gift giving season is over but it is never too late to give your loved ones, friends or co-workers one of these über-popular desk toys. From stress relief to creative outlet - the possibilities are endless. And with more and more adults showing signs of ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) these gadgets are possibly the perfect gift for everyone that can’t sit still.

When we first saw Buckyballs Magnetic Building Spheres in a small gift store in Los Angeles, we could not believe how expensive this little set of magnetic balls was (almost $40 for the Silver Edition). Originally bought for a 12 year old- the toy quickly ended up on the desk of a 40+ year old executive.

The powerful rare earth magnets are advertized with the slogan: “The amazing magnetic desk toy that you can’t put down”. This clearly wasn’t just a marketing ploy. Because BuckyBalls are really that cool. You can build basic shapes, complex sculptures, magnetic jewelry, or even outfit your refrigerator in bold and unique ways. You can make almost everything with these bad boys - it's amazing! BuckyBalls are just what’s needed to brave office boredom. Buckyballs come in any color you can imagine, from holiday red, green and gold to Breast Cancer support Pink. And now, also in brand new shapes as Buckycubes.

Buckyballs are amazing, fun and addictive but...

As if BuckyBalls weren’t enough to slow down office productivity....

Meet Acrobots..... little posable magnetic men that are articulated, stackable, artistic and super fun to play with. Acrobots feature crystal clear round heads, magnets in their hands and feet, flexible joints and the ability to contort into hundreds of shapes. They look cool and are even greater to fidget with.

Okay, we have all heard of stress relief balls. These newest ones, called Infectious disease stress balls look normal at first glance, but once squeezed morph into creatures with gross blisters. They come in four colors and are appropriately named after infectious diseases: Zombie Virus (orange), Smallpox (green), Cooties (red), Bubonic Plague (blue).
Disgusting? Actually infectious and calming.
